This Is The Police 2 also features investigations. They are rather rare - investigations are marked purple on the map. The sequel doesn't allow you to use detectives. Instead, you will have to send out regular police officers. Do that to open an investigation.

An investigation's progress speed depends on your officers' Intelligence. The higher the value, the faster they will discover new clues and frames. Check an officer's Intelligence before you assign someone to an investigation.

It is impossible to close an investigation within one day. The only thing that is possible to do during this period of time is to collect all the clues. Each investigation has five of them. It is important to discover them all. Otherwise, the court can decide that there isn't enough evidence for a given case. The suspect won't get sentenced, regardless of whether they were guilty or not.

You need to collect five clues to close an investigation.

Each day you can assign three police officers to an investigation. One officer looks for clues while the remaining two will search for frames for the sequence. Each of the actions related to the particular investigation can be performed only by one officer. This means that you can't accumulate efforts of your subordinates. They have to complete their assigned tasks alone. Because of that you should invest in having two officers with maximum Intelligence and use them exclusively to solve investigations.

The window where you can assign police officers to an investigation.

Discover all the frames and clues to find the main suspect. There are a few potential suspects which means that you have to arrange the sequence in the right way and accuse the right person. After that you have to arrest them. The game will give you two potential locations of your suspect. Send your police officers to both of them. After that you have to wait until the next day - the court will judge the suspect.

Your officers lose experience points if you accuse the wrong person (they will be found not guilty). You can avoid that by completing a mission for the judge. After that you can change the verdict - by paying a little bit of money.

2. The wife picks up a knife and approaches the husband from behind.
3. The wife slits her husband's throat.

5. The wife takes his body into the shop.

In this investigation you have to examine the case of a stolen video player. This investigation is really simple - you can close it within two days. Send a police officer with maximum Intelligence to the call. Thanks to that you will get all the evidence and a few frames. On the next day you have to assign a police officer who also have maximum Intelligence to search for frames related to the suspect.

Who committed the crime: Tommy

Sequence:

1. Tommy and his friends are watching TV.
2. Tommy goes to the bathroom with his backpack.
3. Tommy sneaks out of the bathroom.
4. Tommy steals the video player.
5. He leaves the house.

Terror on the Ward

The investigation concerns a murder, which was committed at the general hospital. After collecting all the evidence, it's easy to identify the culprit.

Who's the culprit: The nurse

Sequence:

1. At night, Michael starts screaming loudly
2. The nurse quietly enters the room
3. The nurse approaches the patient's bed
4. The nurse hits Michael in the face with a book
5. The culprit suffocates the victim with a pillow

The Secret of the Huge Dump

In this investigation, you have to solve a crime concerning a stolen generator. The culprit left a very peculiar piece of evidence at the crime scene.

Who's the culprit: The funeral director

Sequence:

1. The culprit smashes the window with a brick
2. The funeral director enters through the broken window
3. The culprit moves the generator in the morgue toward the exit
4. The generator is placed into a hearse
5. The hearse drives away

The Mystery of Britt Carter's Murder

This is another investigation, in which you don't have to collect evidence and uncover pictures. Your only job is to arrange the sequence of events, which led to your competitors death, in the proper order.

Who's the culprit: The man wearing a red tie

Sequence:

1. An armed man tells Carter to get inside a van
2. Carter is being beaten up inside the van
3. The man tells Carter to get out of the van
4. Carter tries to attack the man with his walking stick to no effect
5. Carter prays before his death

The Mystery of the Rusted Nail

In this investigation is all about finding the thief, who stole an extremely rare rooster. After analyzing the evidence the following sequence of events is unraveled.

Who's the culprit: The Envious Neighbor

Sequence:

1. The neighbor climbs over the fence next to the chicken coop
2. The suspect removes the hasp from the chicken coop
3. The neighbor grabs a chicken by the legs
4. Buckler starts shooting in the chicken coop
5. The neighbor runs away from Buckler's bullets

The Mystery of the Disappearing Body

This time, you have to inspect a strange crime. A body was stolen from the morgue. After analyzing the evidence the following sequence of events is unraveled

Sequence:

1. The Urchin enters the morgue through an open door
2. The girl opens a freezer containing a body
3. The girl moves the body outside on a special cart
4. The Urchin places the body in a car
5. The car drives away

The Curse of the Family Portrait

Although this mission is not connected with the gang questlines, it is still a very important investigation. You have to solve a murder case. The victim is a photographer. Unfortunately, you discover that Duvall is the culprit. Pressing charges means, you will lose your sniper. So, if you don't want to bribe the judge and lose him, it's best to stay away from the case.

4. The man takes another DSLR from the car
