Gangs in This is the Police 2 This is the Police 2 Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 20 August 2018
In Sharpwood, you will be dealing with two gangs. Weakening their ranks and arresting their leaders will require solving several crimes. Every mission ends with one of the gang members being arrested. As the story progresses, you arrest higher ranked members. This is shown in the diagram below.
Every unlocked portrait depicts an arrested criminal. The diagram symbolizes the command chain of the gang. You have to be careful. If you decide to send an arrested criminal to court instantly after you caught them, you will lose the possibility to interrogate them, thus losing potentially useful information. You are informed with a special message whether a witness gave all the possible information. Of course, making them talk won't be easy. You have to skillfully perform the interrogation so that they give you the right information. Usually, the data obtained in this way allows you to start an investigation, during which you can capture another gang member.
Forest People
This is the first gang which you will have to face in the game This Is The Police 2. They appear in the second proper investigation in the game. Below, you can find the descriptions of investigations connected with the Forest People gang.
The Mystery of the Black Box
This case seems eerily easy. However, while conducting the investigation, you will get the lead on the gang. You have to catch a thief, who stole something from the courthouse.
Who's the culprit: The Hooded Man
Sequence:
- A man enters the courthouse using the backdoor
- The man breaches the door to the archives using a wooden stake
- The suspect rifles through boxes containing old case files
- The man throws some of the documents out of the box
- The suspect exits the courthouse with a box half-filled with documents
After the sequence, you can arrest the suspect. If you decide to make him your mole, you can interrogate him. If you want to get all the information out of him try the following dialogue options:
- Ask whether he really wanted to help the women, whose case files he had stolen
- Agree on the fact that the situation in Sharpwood is bad
- Keep supporting his claims. Ask about the whereabouts of the gang, so your officers can avoid them
The interrogation gives information on what's happening in the hospital. This unlocks another investigation.
The Mystery of the Stolen Files
This is the second investigation connected with the Forest People gang. The testimony of the courthouse thief lead you to another break and entry case. This time the theft took place at a hospital.
Who's the culprit: The Man in the Convertible
Sequence:
- A convertible drives toward the hospital
- The driver squeezes through a barred hospital window
- The man steals a computer
- The man puts the computer into his car
- The convertible drives away
After properly arranging the sequence, you can arrest the suspect. If you didn't take the courthouse thief to trial, you will have the option of recruiting another mole. Then, you can also interrogate the culprit. If you want to get all the information out of him try the following dialogue options:
- Tell him, you recognize his name from the moves, tell him, he worked as a double
- Ask him to explain everything with more detail
- Ask whether it is difficult to find a proper "vessel"
After the conversation, another case unlocks. It will lead you to the next gang member.
The Mystery of the Squealing Tires
This is the third investigation leading to the resolution of the Forest People gang questline. Thanks to the help from the "hospital" thief, you will get a hit on the kidnapping at the car wash.
Who's the culprit: The Dark Car Driver
Sequence:
- A blue van arrives at the car wash
- The driver gets out of the car
- The driver aims a revolver at Tina
- The driver forces Tina into the car
- The van drives away
After arranging the sequence, arrest the suspect as fast as you can. You can interrogate him afterward. If you want to get all the information out of him try the following dialogue options:
- Tell the suspect that he has good taste in clothing
- Ask whether he doesn't miss real literature in the gang
- Suggest that the Forest People gang aren't a place for the suspect
This conversation leads to another case.
The Mystery of the Lost Boots
This is another investigation concerning the Forest People gang. The testimony from the kidnapper from the car wash will lead you to a strip club, where another kidnapping took place.
Who's the culprit: The Man Wearing a Woolen Hat
Sequence:
- The suspect goes into a private dance room
- The suspect talks to Melba and Peggy
- Peggy exits the room
- The suspect intoxicates the victim with an unknown substance
- The man moves Melba outside through a window
Finishing the sequence allows you to arrest the suspect. To unlock the next mission, you have to interrogate the culprit. If you want to get all the information out of him try the following dialogue options:
- Tell the suspect that he is good with syringes
- Tell him that the kidnapper you had caught before told you everything
- Ask him about what he really believes
After the conversation ends, another case unlocks. It will lead you to the next gang member.
The Mystery of the Swollen Faces
This is the last investigation connected with the Forest People gang. Witness statements lead you to a place where a strange ritual is taking place. You discover that the missing women you were looking for had been sacrificed there.
Who's the culprit: The Woman in the White Coat
Sequence:
- The suspect leads the women to the stream
- The Woman in the White Coat removes the shackles from the women's wrists
- The suspect hands out wooden bowls to the victims
- The suspect opens her bag and starts scattering brown dust
- The victims drink water from the stream
Arranging the sequence in the proper order unlocks a tactical mission, in which you have to seize Margaret Olson, who is the leader of the Forest People gang.
Assault on Margaret Olson's Hideout
This is a tactical mission, which leads to the final resolution concerning the Forest People gang. It's a rather short mission.
You have to not only arrest Margaret but also move her to the police car. If you arrest her before incapacitating the rest of the gang, an alarm will go off and a gunfight ensues soon afterward. This makes moving Margaret to the police car a bit tricky. If your planning on playing this mission this way, it's good to bring an officer with the Atlas trait.
If you want to approach the mission silently, first, you have to incapacitate five suspects. Surprisingly, only one of them is guarding the entrance. He is patrolling the yard at the back building. Incapacitating him shouldn't be a problem.
Dealing with the remaining four goons is going to be much more difficult. If you chose the Ninja skill for your officers, two of them should be enough for the job. In other case, send three people. You have to deal with the situation within two turns or you will end up setting off the alarm.
First, incapacitate the gang member who's the farthest from the group (as shown in the picture below). Incapacitating him will draw the attention of another suspect, who's patrolling the area. However, he won't have enough time to raise the alarm. In the next turn, you should be able to incapacitate the remaining three goons.
Now, you should be able to reach Margaret freely. She's in a room behind the door. When she is facing the other way, approach and incapacitate her. Then, pick her up and take her to the car. The mission ends after placing Margaret in the designated area.
Spinach Berserkers

The questline starts after you are called to a serious assault case. Below, you can find the descriptions of all of the investigations connected with dealing with this gang.

- The Long Haired Man is sneaking behind Eli
- Eli spots the threat
- The suspect catches up to Eli
- The Long Haired Man beats the victim
- The suspect urinates onto the victim
After arranging the sequence, you can arrest The Long Haired Man. If you let him be your mole, you will be able to interrogate him. If you want to get all the information out of him try the following dialogue options:
- Notice that the suspect was running very fast
- Ask whether he beat up Eli because of drugs
- Ask whether the fight is still going on
After the conversation ends, another case unlocks. It will leads you to the next gang member.
The Secret of the Whole Bottle

- The Abstainer spills a bottle of Armagnac onto the store owner
- The pick-up truck drives away
Arranging the sequence allows you to arrest the suspect. If you didn't put The Long Haired Man on trial, you will be able to interrogate the culprit. If you want to get all the information out of him try the following dialogue options:
- Ask how is it possible for a woman to have muscles like that
- Mention that some scientists argue that alcohol can have some positive effects on the human body
- Ask about the password, which is tattooed on the culprit's skin
After the conversation ends, another case unlocks. It will lead you to the next gang member.

Sequence:
- The fire engine catches up with the truck
- The fire engine pushes the truck off the road
- The suspect exits the fire engine and prepares the hose
- The suspect sprays water all over the cigarettes

- Mention that aside from having trouble with the police the suspect is also on bad terms with Henderson
- Ask whether the gang wants to put the bar even higher
- Ask whether the gang wants people to suffer for their weaknesses
Finishing the conversation will give you a lead, which develops into another case.

Arranging the sequence unlocks a tactical mission, in which you get to arrest the leader of the gang.
Assault on Edwin McFee's Hideout
This is a tactical mission, in which you deal the final blow to the Spinach Berserkers gang. You have to arrest Edwin McFee, the gang's leader.
You should take the silent approach. In the first turn send one officer toward the field, so he can incapacitate the goon, who's patrolling that area.
Send the remainder of the group toward the trees. It is particularly important to place one of your officers on the spot marked on the picture below. This way he can incapacitate the suspect located behind the trees. Move the officer who was previously at the field toward the barn. Let the rest of your team wait until the suspects standing grouped together start going separate ways. Use this moment to your advantage and incapacitate them.
At the same time use the officer at the bar to deal with the suspect patrolling that area. As for the officer at the back, let him incapacitate the suspect at the corner of the barn.
Now, you can approach the barn. Inside, there are three goons, who don't move around much, and one more, who's constantly moving back and forth between two rooms. Deal with all of them in one turn. Now, you can split your team. Send one half to the rooms on the side, where three more suspects can be found, while the other half goes straight on, to the place, where Edwin and one more goon are located.
Incapacitating everyone is not necessary, so you don't have to deal with the suspects in the smaller rooms. You can go straight to Edwin if you wish.
