Morale | Caravan The Banner Saga Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Morale is not the most important thing related to caravan, however you should not ignore it. It affects the number of willpower points given to heroes at the beginning of each battle. Travelling with a caravan that has a high level of morale might provide you with additional willpower points that you can use for better attacks. Having low morale might not only take away the bonus points, it might even lower the starting level of them.
Morale of the caravan drops when:
- The caravan travels too long without resting.
- You make an unpopular decision in a conversation or an event (e.g. Taking a bribe from thugs).
- You spend all of supplies (more about managing supplies on the next page of this chapter).
You can improve morale by:
- Resting in a camp or a city - Every time when the caravan rests, one day passes and some supplies are used so don't rest for too long. Use it only when morale is really low (orange or red icon at the top of the screen)
- Making decisions the members of the caravan agree with - it might be, for example, saving a child or helping villagers. Events like that are described in the walkthrough.
- Stopping at locations with Godstones - it doesn't use any supplies but increases morale, sometimes you may even find a rare artifact.
