Spintires: Mudrunner sees you transport timber to and from each of a number of log kiosks and log stations found around the map. You can perform a set of shorter courses or a few larger ones or a single, unique course to every log station or a lumber mill. Plans, recon, and cloak points

Activate watch points to uncloak extensive areas of the map

Even if Spintires: Mudrunner is not a real time strategy, conceiving a plan will help your efforts to transport timber and fuel. Start with activating the map, and check for available courses and the locations of blockades and rivers. The map also shows asphalt and sandy roads, as well as the type of the terrain - deep forests may be inaccessible, but sometimes large plains can be utilized in order to reach your objective. You can utilize UAZ jeeps as recon vehicles to view the course from the ground level and look for stones, steep hillsides or usable shortcuts as well as activate cloak points that unlock cloaked parts of the map. Convoy

The most important trick in the game which enables you to save time and the number of routes. As a single player, you are unable to drive more than one vehicle at once, but this shortcoming can be easily leveled out.

The winch can also be used to pull other vehicles. Connect the rope to both the other end of an active truck and a front bumper of a vehicle that you want to take with you. This setting is quite bearable, as the pulled vehicle will achieve similar speeds and will turn with the first one. Make sure that the rope has a few metres of free space. Tougher situations may require pressing "F" and accelerating the pulled vehicle.

You've just created a convoy consisting of two cars. Now you can travel using two vehicles at once. If needed, you can detach the pulled vehicle and complete the route on your own. If one of the vehicles has been submerged or damaged, you can use the second vehicle to tow the first one. Remember that the rope disappears when one of the vehicles has been switched.

Convoys - suggested builds

1. Truck + truck. Both trucks hold the basic add-on. The best of way of transporting garage points (2+2; a garage requires 4 garage points to activate), as a new garage is often close to a log station which enables you to choose a new rig or to mount a rescue using a different vehicle.

1. Truck with trailer + trailer. This combo enables you to carry 9 points of timber, which is enough to satisfy the needs of a single lumber yard. Connect the trailer then activate the advanced mode and unhook the trailer and drive a few metres forward. Connect the next trailer by utilizing the winch. You cannot unload both trailers at the same time - you need to connect the second trailer to the truck. This combination enables you to utilize a single truck, but the end result is a quite long and heavy set that can get stuck easily. Use this combo on less demanding and flat routes. Feasible even if your current truck is a weak one.
2. Truck with add-on + truck with add-on and trailer. Can also carry 9 points, but choose this combination if you are in need of more vehicles or if the available trucks are weak. A single trailer will result in more horsepower for the remaining trucks and an easier route.

1. Truck with log carrier and medium log cart + truck with log carrier and medium log cart. Both vehicles can carry 4 timber points. This combo can only be utilized if you have access to six-wheeled trucks with lot of horsepower. One of the most solid types of a convoy.

1. Truck with add-on + truck with semi-trailer. The first truck allows 3 points of timber, while the second truck offers space for up to six points of timber. An easy way of delivering wood to log kiosks. In case of trouble, the first truck can be removed to help get the second one out of trouble. Sometimes, the semi-trailer can get stuck, so you'll often be forced to get out of a tough spot manually.

1. K-700 with trailer + truck with add-on and trailer. A special type of a convoy. K-700 can visit the garage utility tent to install a trailer hitch in order to attach a second truck and be able to carry 9 points of timber. A good convoy for the toughest situations - K-700 can escape even the toughest situations and help save the second truck from getting stuck.

Manual loading of timber and support vehicles

Each map has a number of points where you can pick-up and manually load the timber. Even if the loading itself may take a longer period of time, some of these locations are closer than lumber yards, enabling you to shorten your routes and/or use more useful roads. You can manually load the cargo by utilizing K-700 loader or install a crane cart on medium trucks.

A support vehicle is an every truck that carries garage points and/or fuel. Consider having such vehicle, especially when against a long and difficult route. Your transport trucks will use much fuel, so having a supply of it nearby will be useful. Class B truck is the best choice for such a vehicle.
