Prologue | Story missions in Red Dead Online

Red Dead Online opens with a cut-scene during which you learn that you are a prisoner. The first thing you have to do is to create your own character - choose your gender and general appearance. Soon, your character will be free.

Follow the man who has rescued you. Get on the horse and follow him. You learn that the man's name is Horley. You reach Jessica LeClerk - she explains why she decided to rescue you. You can now choose your starting outfit.

Next, you have to choose your camp and its location. At first, the majority of the choices will be blocked. Create your camp in Bayou Nwa. Go to Rhodes - head to the post office and speak with the station clerk. You receive a Handheld Catalogue - this item allows you to purchase goods from any place on the map. However, your goods have to be collected either at a post office or in your camp.

Go to Bayou Nwa - your objective is to find outlaws and eliminate them. This task should be simple, especially when you have played Red Dead Redemption 2's campaign.

The last bandit will beg you to spare his life. The game informs you that choices done during the campaign will affect your honor. Take the map or kill the bandit. Regardless of your choice, you can use the map and start treasure hunting - open your inventory and select the treasure map. The game will show you the place with the treasure.

Go there and open the chest. Inside, you will find a few valuable items. Another story mission has been added to your map. Go to the marker - you will start Honor Among Horse Thieves (its description can be found in the next chapter).
