Fool's Gold, Fishing Challenges and Daily Challenges in Red Dead Online Red Dead Online Guide and Tips

The February patch for Red Dead Online Beta has introduced new features and updates. Players can participate in new modes, witness enhancements made to the world, or use new weapons. Check this page to learn more about these updates.

• Daily Challenges. New series of objectives that require you to perform certain activities, e.g. skinning animals or treasure hunting. Players can complete seven challenges that change every day. Complete them to receive gold nuggets and XP. Complete all of them to receive a bonus.
• Fool's Gold. A new event in the free roam mode. Players fight over a gold armor which can be worn by them. Defeat the player wearing this armor to receive points and become the new owner of the said armor.
• Somewhere in the future, Red Dead Online will have completely new modes. For example, Target Race is about racing another player and shooting targets at the same time. This mode requires players to use their ammo, horse's stamina, and skills wisely.
• Fishing Challenges. All participants receive gear and lures. After that, they go fishing. The goal is to get the largest total weight of fish.
• Announcement of three new Showdown modes: Up in Smoke, Spoils of War, and Plunder.
• New weapon: Rare Shotgun. Evans Repeater is coming soon.
• New set of emotes.
• Updated player radar and visibility. The visibility of player blips has been reduced. Now, players can only see those who are nearby. This should reduce the threat of being attacked by others. Also, the voice chat has been limited to those in close proximity. Players who keep killing others are now marked with darker blips.
• Easier parley and feuds. Feuds are now easier to initiate - they work like a deathmatch. You can start a feud with a rival or a pose after only one kill. Also, parley can now be initiated after one kill.
• Enhanced Law and Bounty Systems. Players who have a bounty on them can be tracked down by bounty hunters. The higher the bounty, the more dangerous bounty hunters.
• Players who log into Red Dead Online Beta any time before March 5th will receive: 2x Potent Snake Oil, 2x Potent Bitters, 2x Potent Miracle Tonic, 2x Horse Reviver, 2x Potent Horse Stimulant, 8x Poison Arrows, 10x Explosive Slug.
