Crafting in Outward Outward Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 02 April 2019
Outward largely consists in obtaining raw materials and creating items from them. Most of the missions available in the game are based on crafting. In this section of the guide you will learn how to create items and where to purchase the blueprints.
- Where do I get the blueprints?
- Where can I cook?
- Where will I create the essential items?
- How to create a potion?
Where do I get the blueprints?
Recipes can be bought from merchants, obtained by completing missions or found during exploration of the game world. They are very recognizable because they look like paper scrolls.
Remember that after purchasing a recipe, you need to use the "read" in order to be able to craft the item.
Where can I cook?
Food and drinks can be prepared in the kitchen or with the pan. Eating will not only fill your character's stomach, but can also buff your stats.
Some products that are not intended for eating (Travel Ration), also have to be produced in the kitchen. Keep this in mind before you go on a trip to another country.
Where will I create the essential items?
To make items such as arrows, armor, or fire, you need to open the crafting tab in the backpack.
There, you will find all the items for which you have blueprints/recipes.
How to create a potion?
To create a potion, you will need an Alchemy Kit. You can buy it in Cierzo from Helmi the Alchemist, for 60 silver.
In later stages of the game, you can also purchase it from Vay the Alchemist, in Berg.
