MiSide supports a new voice for Mita. Is there a chance for English dub? Explained
Mita has a new voice, everyone! And soon, more dubbing versions will be added to MiSide as fans collaborate with the development team.
MiSide turned out to be one of the unexpected hits on Steam, capturing peak interest during the Christmas season, with nearly 24,000 players enjoying the game simultaneously. It's no surprise, given the game's intriguing blend of horror mystery, cozy vibes, and a variety of mini-games. The Christmas patch introduced a festive theme, though some players found it challenging and wished for an option to disable it. On the bright side, the update also added new languages and voiceovers for the beloved Mita! More dubbing versions are on the way, so let’s dive into what the development team, along with passionate fans, have in store for us.
English dubbing in MiSide confirmed
Initially, MiSide featured voiceovers in only Japanese and Russian. However, with version 0.91, Portuguese-Brazilian dubbing was added, thanks to the efforts of talented fans: Eveline Teach, Azaazel, DJBK_ofc and Raviel Karim. How amazing is that?
Before the year ended, patch 0.921 brought Spanish dub, created also by dedicated fans: MiMi and Chemichi Von Alexandros. These updates further expanded language support to include Italian, Vietnamese, Polish, Ukrainian, Hungarian, Indonesian, Romanian, and more. But what’s next?
The development team at AIHASTO recently teased Turkish, English, French, and Spanish (Latin America) dubbing for MiSide on their Discord, continuing their strong community involvement. What's particularly exciting is that these versions will feature voiced player lines – a fantastic addition compared to the Japanese release, which only included Mita's spoken lines.
Although these dubbings are still a work in progress and we don't have exact release dates yet, I’m sure the Great Mita will soon be speaking in more and more languages.
