MiSide Description
MiSide is an unusual combination of a life simulator, a dating game, and a psychological thriller. The game was developed by the independent studio Aihasto.
Story
The main character of MiSide is a young man who plays a mobile game that involves taking care of a virtual girl named Mita. Unexpectedly, our protagonist's protégé teleports him to her digital apartment to take their bond to the next level.
The hero quickly begins to realize that his "waifu's" house has become a prison for him. He must make every effort to find a way to escape from this place. Of course, his partner doesn't like this and she does everything in her power to keep him by her side. Headaches, with which the man struggles, also do not make things easier. Fortunately(?) Mita has soothing pills for them.
As we progress, we meet other characters, each of whom has their own role to play in the story. While some may turn out to be our allies, others - quite the opposite.
Gameplay
The way the action is presented in MiSide varies depending on what stage of the story we are playing. Initially, when the protagonist watches Mita only on his smartphone screen, the events are shown from a bird's eye view. However, when the protagonist enters the digital world, the camera changes perspective to first-person (FPP).
In the second stage of the game, we can move around Mita's apartment relatively freely. The game allows us to look into rooms, interact with our companion, have conversations with her, eat meals, take selfies, or even play on the console.
Many activities that we undertake are presented here in the form of mini-games. Although they are first simplified in terms of visuals, over time they take on a more advanced form. This includes accompanying Mita in household duties (with cooking at the forefront) or providing her with entertainment.
Graphics
The graphic design of MiSide is maintained in manga style.
