We live in great times when playing games for free is a common practise. And it’s not only a matter of free-to-play titles. With Epic Games giving away big shot, high budget productions, nothing is really impossible. We have developed an intuition as to which games “look” like they should be accessible at no additional cost, yet sometimes it can be hard to assess. This appears to be the case with MiSide, an interesting blend of dating sim and horror kept in anime-like visual style. Is it free then?

Is MiSide a free game?

Cutting straight to the chase – no, MiSide is not a free game. Currently, it is available only on PC for $14.99, with a chance for console release. However, if you would like to at least taste what the title is about, you can check out the free demo. It is available on the Steam page to download.

Interestingly, MiSide is still being actively developed, despite the fact that it’s not in Early Access program. Community takes a huge part in this process, as fans are helping AIHASTO, the developers behind Mita’s story, with voiceovers. Let’s remember that even though players are helping with new content, the creators still need funds to support themselves and the studio.

Looking at it from the bright side – since MiSide does not have to rely on, at best controversial, microtransactions, for one-off payment you can get the full game with decent quality, to say the least. You don’t have to worry that there will be content locked behind a paywall. Also, it is always good to support developers who do a great job, especially if you can check the demo first, before making a commitment and forking out money on the title. Have fun!
