MapleStory Ride or Die Event Explained. Learn How to Get Legion Block and More
Here’s everything you need to know about the new Ride or Die Event in MapleStory. While there are plenty of rewards to earn, the Legion Block is the most important one to claim.
MapleStory is free to play side scrolling MMORPG known for its vibrant anime style graphics, charming world, and extensive character customization. Having launched in 2003, the game feels like it's been around forever. While daily quests and challenges offer plenty to do, a brand-new Ride or Die event is currently running until February 11th. Here’s a quick summary of what to expect and what you need to prepare for.
Ride or Die Event Rules
In the new Ride or Die event in MapleStory, you'll face up to six bosses each week. You can choose a difficulty level, Code B (Easy), Code A (Normal), or Code S (Hard), and decide how many challenges to tackle. Completing the maximum of 20 challenges will earn you the most points from the boss fights. You have a total of 20 lives to share across all six bosses each week.

The event resets every Wednesday at 12:00 AM UTC. The weekly score system rewards you with special chests, and you can also earn Kazax’s Energy Fragments, which grant random rare items.
How to Get the Legion Block in Ride or Die
There’s a wide variety of goods available in the two shops of the Ride or Die event, which you can purchase by collecting coins dropped by bosses. However, the most valuable reward is the Legion Block, which you won’t find anywhere else in the game.
The Legion Block boosts your Attack Power and Magic by 35, and you can place it in your Legion Grid without using up a Legion character slot. Nice!
To get the Legion Block you'll need to defeat three bosses (on any difficulty) each week for at least 10 weeks. The event runs for 11 weeks, so make sure to start right now and participate each week to claim it!
Ride or Die Event Tips
- Use your strongest character when starting the event, as you can’t change it later.
- Keep in mind that you have limited lives, so use the practice mode to avoid wasting time. You can practice against any boss and try different difficulty levels.
- Your death count can affect your weekly score. If you're aiming for the highest reward, be mindful of this.
- The large gap between difficulty levels, along with the variable number of challenges, can make the event even more demanding. Choose wisely.
- If you're new to the game, avoid setting the maximum number of challenges for this event, as they are quite difficult, and you may easily get defeated because of them.
