It would be ideal if sequels were bigger and better versions of their predecessors. However, there is always a chance that some creative decisions taken by the devs might not please the fanbase. Let’s take a look at Darkest Dungeon and its sequel. While the latter has a bigger peak of players, it immediately dropped to be quickly overtaken by the first instalment (via SteamDB). To make up for that and bring back people, Darkest Dungeon 2 is receiving new, interesting DLCs. The most recent one, Inhuman Bondage, features a character called Abomination, who originally was introduced in the first instalment. Many fans wonder how to unlock it in Kingdoms mode. If you are also looking for the answer, here you will find it.

Unlocking Abomination in Kingdoms mode in DD2 explained

The Lovecraftian world of Darkest Dungeon 2 got even more gloomy and twisted thanks to Inhuman Bondage expansion, featuring a playable character – Abomination. Alongside the expansion, a new game mode debuted, called Kingdoms. If you would like to take the freshly added adventurer for a spin in Kingdoms, you’ll have to work for it a bit.

As Confessions and Kingdoms are generally independent from each other, they are interconnected in some ways. Thus, to be able to use Abomination in the latter, you need to complete its reflection. In other words, you have to finish his Shrines of Reflection in Confessions mode to be able to try him out in Kingdoms.

If that got you confused or disappointed, you are not the only one, as players voice their dissatisfaction on game’s Steam Discussion page. Should you also like to add your two cents to the conversation, you can let the creators know on their official discord server. Good luck!
