Helldivers 2 turned out to be one of the most talked-about releases of this year. The game had an excellent launch but then caused a lot of controversy due to the added requirement of having a PSN account (which was eventually withdrawn due to criticism from players), as well as due to unfavorable changes to the gameplay balance, which made it more fair, but at the same time less enjoyable.

However, the devs took the community's opinions to heart, making the necessary fixes, and it can now be said that these efforts have yielded the expected results.

  1. On Steam, among the reviews submitted by players in the last 30 days, 95% praise Helldivers 2, which the platform categorizes as an "overwhelmingly positive" reception of the game.
  2. Among all the reviews submitted since the release day, 74% are positive. It's clear that the recent changes have been very enthusiastically received by the players, and the developers have managed to regain the sympathy of the community.
  3. The game also has good activity results. The record for the past weekend was 34,000 players playing simultaneously. Helldivers 2 is unlikely to reach the same level of success as it did right after its release when it had over 400,000 people playing at the same time on PC. However, its current performance is sufficient to keep the title alive.

Helldivers 2 was released on February 8 this year. The game is available on PC and PlayStation 5.

There is currently a sale on Steam for Helldivers 2, which allows you to purchase this title for $31.99, 20% cheaper than the standard price.
