This page of the Mafia Definitive Edition guide contains a walkthrough for the Moderate Velocity side mission available in the Free Ride mode. You will learn how to reach the bus, how to take control of it, and how to properly maintain high speed and avoid detonating a bomb.

You can learn about this mission by finding Herbert Baskerville's letter in the Free Ride. The letter lies on a large table in the "boardroom" in Salieri's bar.

It has information on where the mission will begin. It is a telephone booth located in the Chinatown district. The booth can be found in the location shown in the pictures, not far from the abandoned gas station.

We recommend taking a motorcycle or one of the faster vehicles. It is important to reach the bus quickly.

When the mission begins, you will notice a moving bus – you have to catch up with it. Start chasing the vehicle. You need to reach the bus before the bomb is detonated. Overtake the bus and press the right button to get inside that vehicle.

Your job is to keep the bus going over 30 miles per hour. Every time the speed drops below 30 miles, the game will display a timer counting down the time to detonate the bomb. You must reach at least 30 miles per hour before the time runs out.

You have to survive for 3 and a half minutes. We strongly advise you to check the city's map every now and then to plan your next route. Choose long and wide streets and, if possible, those roads where there are no large driveways – they can reduce your speed to below 30 miles per hour.

Avoid hitting other vehicles and indestructible obstacles such as poles or lanterns. You don't have to go very fast. It is best to keep the speed at around 40 miles per hour to be slightly over the minimum speed limit, but at the same time not to plan an unnecessarily long journey. In addition, a fast-moving bus may have trouble braking in time to make 90-degree turns.

The reward for completing this challenge is a mechanic outfit. You can wear it by interacting with the wardrobe at Salieri's bar.
