Detailed mission walkthrough:
New objective: Regroup With Your Men
This is going to be a difficult mission, however the first part of it is quite simple. You'll start the game inside a partially destroyed building. I would recommend hiding near the windows. Try and take out a few enemy soldiers from here. You'll find them by aiming at the red berets. Don't attack any of the rebel units.
You will also have to neutralize two heavy machine gun nests from here, so you won't have to deal with them once you've left this building. A small group of soldiers will hide inside a small hut (screen). Prevent them from doing that, because you would only have to lose more time waiting for them to reveal their positions. Try to secure this entire area. It shouldn't be too hard, especially since enemy soldiers will more likely attack the rebels instead of you or Lynch.
Move back from the windows and order Lynch to follow you. As you've probably noticed, you can't use the stairs. As a result, head on to the next room. You will have to find a large hole in the ground (screen). Use it to get to the ground floor. You'll have to watch a short-scene. Also, the good news is that you'll be able to issue commands to an entire team.
Try getting closer to a nearby street. You've already secured this square, however new soldiers will arrive in the area. If you're lucky, you should be able to surprise them. Don't leave this area right away, because a mortar strike will begin in a short while. It'll make your approach a lot more difficult, however if you're careful enough, you should be fine.
Start off by moving to your left. Don't leave the covered area, because you're perfectly safe there. Wait for the right moment to make a move. Start running towards the left building (screen). It's very important that you get there, because you'll be allowed to get closer to your current destination. Start moving forward. Just as before, don't get too close to the main square.
You will probably notice a small group of enemy soldiers. If your colleagues are somewhere nearby, they should be able to deal with this threat without your assistance. Otherwise you should hide behind the nearest pillar. Keep pushing forward. I would also recommend taking an assault rifle from one of the neutralized soldiers, especially since you won't have any problems finding the ammunition and you can't ask your colleagues for supplies infinitely.
Your men should automatically find a good cover (screen) and they'll start shooting at the visible enemy units. Just make sure they won't move too far away from you. Enemy soldiers will appear to your right. Try and prevent them from using heavy machine gun nests. Otherwise you would have to be more focused on finding a good cover rather than neutralizing them.
