Since Summer 2018, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery features special events, which appear from time to time. These new quests last continuously for a few weeks. Every event lasts 3-4 days. After finishing one event, the next one starts automatically.

During special events, you can earn money, gems, as well as, special uniforms, which cannot be bought at any other place. The same is true for the special hairstyles available during those events.

The events differ from one another. However, they all share the same basic principles. To get points during the vent sit is neither necessary to do main nor side quests. The points are gathered during classes. Regardless of the classes, you are attending, your character receives points from the event. The more classes you attend, the more points you receive. Doing well in the events is only up to you.

Sometimes, you have to compete against other students during events. You have to be careful, as they never sleep and are pumping up their points constantly.
