The sixth major installment in the popular farming simulation game series. The franchise makes a comeback to key gaming platforms after a year off, when only smartphone and portable editions were released. The developer, GIANTS Software, prepared another portion of innovations to enhance gameplay. The game lets you play in a new environment (Scandinavian), characterized by different landscape, weather conditions, and vast forests. This time players can cut down trees using specially designed, licensed machines. There is also a car wash, allowing you to keep your vehicles clean. Overall, the gameplay mechanics remained unchanged; as usual, your task is to manage a farm and expand it using the money earned from breeding animals and cultivating land. The sixth installment introduced the series to the eight generation consoles, bringing about significant visual improvements.

The third major installment in a life simulation game series, The Sims. The title was developed by The Sims Studio in cooperation with Maxis and Electronic Arts. As per usual, The Sims 3 lets you take control of a life of a virtual character from the cradle to the grave. Your job is to provide for the needs of your family of Sims when it comes to their social interactions, family matters, and career. The Sims 3 introduces two significant novelties to the game: lifetime wishes and a personality system that attributes 5 dominant character features to each Sim. As compared with previous installments in the franchise, the game’s 3D visuals were significantly improved.

Another installment in a popular simulation game series, developed by Switzerland studio Giants Software. The game puts you in the boots of a professional farmer, who needs to properly manage and develop his farm. This requires you to cultivate land and breed stock, spending the money you earn on new, more efficient machines. The new edition traditionally brings about a score of innovations and improvements. The game features over 20 licensed machines, also new animals and plants were added, as well as details like wilting and rotting of plants. Since the game world is much more expansive than in the last game, you can now purchase land and raise additional buildings. All this comes in improved graphics. The game supports fan-created modifications.

The game makes the player a leader of a small tropical island, responsible for governing it all the way from the colonial age through modern times and to the near future. Your tasks will be, as usual, to develop the city and take care of its industry and economy. You must also react in real time to the changing situation caused by natural disasters, different needs of the society, and global politics. The new installment adds the possibility to create your own dynasty and entrust the most important positions in the government to your own family members. For the first time in the history of the series the game features a multiplayer mode for up to four players.

An economic real-time strategy game created by British indie developer Introversion Software. Prison Architect lets you play as a headmaster of a penal facility. Your duties include designing a high-security prison, managing its budged, and providing for the needs of inmates. The authors saw to it that each prisoner had his individual personality and corresponding criminal inclinations. A virtual prison manager has to face such issues as violent behavior among inmates, gang activities, smuggling and contraband, or even mutiny. Prison Architect features very simple top-down 2D graphics.

The action of Omerta: City of Gangsters was set in the 1920s. Player takes the role of a young immigrant who arrives to Atlantic City with the intention of subjugating the city. The game is about developing criminal empire, including gang management, gaining new territories and expanding your influence. In the strategic aspect the game is played in real time.

The fourth installment in the humorous series of economic strategy games in which we assume the role of a ruthless dictator of a small banana republic. After the previous developer (responsible for the first installment from 2001) was taken over by THQ, the series was given to Haemimont Games. The main highlight of the gameplay is taking care of the country’s budget, which is fed by resource mining and production of various goods. The citizens’ happiness is also an important aspect. We take care of them through creating various public utility buildings. To get the political chaos under control, we can use military, bribes, intimidation, or even public executions. If brutal methods don’t serve their purpose anymore, we can attempt to talk with the opposition, and in case of a natural disaster, The Red Cross will heed our call. In the fourth installment of the game, we are introduced to a new set of special buildings and a system of trading with neighboring countries.

An official expansion to the farming simulator published in 2014 by Giants Software. Farming Simulator 15: Silver is an expansion designed for the seventh generation of consoles, namely PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and, in contrast to the next-gen consoles edition called Farming Simulator 15: Gold, its contents are a bit reduced. This add-on does not introduce any changes to mechanics. During the gameplay the player takes control of tractors, harvesters, and trucks produced by such manufacturers as Zetor, Tatra, Rostselmash, and Farmtech. In contrast to the Gold version, there are no new farming areas in Eastern Europe, yet the remaining elements from both DLCs are included, so players can make use of new equipment and 20 new farming machines.

The third installment in the bestselling series of economic strategy games, this time also available on the Xbox 360 console. Although the series was handed to a different developer, the Bulgarian studio Haemimont Games, the foundations of the gameplay remained unchanged. In the game the player assumes the role of a leader of a small island nation and transforms it into either a democratic paradise or an oppressive dictatorship. The player is tasked with gathering resources, taking care of welfare of the citizens and maintaining diplomatic relations. For the first time in the history of the series the player can directly control the dictator and decide about his looks and abilities. As the leader, one can freely move across the island and directly influence various aspects of the nation. The terrain itself can also be freely shaped. A fully three-dimensional graphics engine provides excellent visual experience.

As we play, we can take part in dangerous journeys, become pirates, or focus on trade and development of our settlements. The game also offers sieges and sea battles. Maintaining relations with local powers plays an important role in the game. It is up to us to decide who will be our ally and who our enemy. The game offers both single player and multiplayer modes. Port Royale 3: Pirates & Merchants has eye-pleasing 3D visuals.

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution was created specifically for consoles, though the game belongs to one of the most popular strategy game franchises aimed at PC players. The series made its debut in early 1990s, as initiated by a company known as MicroProse; the Civilization series have been developed by Sid Meier's Firaxis Games nowadays. Similar to the previous installments, Revolution is a turn-based strategy game requiring the player to develop a civilization they have chosen - the process lasts for entire in-game millennia. Each of the sixteen playable nations was assigned to a famous leader, such as Napoleon or Cleopatra. The player not only has to explore and expand their civilization, but also ensure its constant development (cities, technologies, creating trade routes, establishing diplomatic relations, controlling both internal policy and military actions). One is capable of achieving victory here in several different ways, such as military conquest, going beyond earth, economic or cultural domination for instance. Apart from a single player experience, the game offers an opportunity to compete against other players. The version for home consoles comes with colorful, three-dimensional visuals.

The gameplay is based on the formula known from the board game original. We move tokens by as many fields as we roll on the dice. While playing, we trade real estates and build houses and hotels that provide us with income since any player has to pay rent if they step into another player’s property. The game takes place on one of three three-dimensional levels such as Classic City, Amusement Park, or Haunted Town. Monopoly for Nintendo Switch offers a wide range of game modes for up to six players. The title utilizes the unique features of Nintento’s console, including HD Rumble, its advanced vibration system.

He can use nine new buildings and units (including floating apartments and military submarines). The political situation can be sent to the bottom by random events like water traffic blockade. The player can use four new islands and two new avatars with accessories.
