While escorting a group of scientists, Scar witnesses a massive energy emission kill the members of his team before being knocked out by it. The protagonist wakes up at a camp belonging to an organization called Clear Sky.

The game continues the story of a fictional armed conflict between North Korea and USA. The game takes you to the streets of occupied Philadelphia, where you become a member of the resistance. Waging a campaign of guerilla warfare you have to stand up to the invaders and start a nation-wide revolution.

We play as a genetically modified soldier and a member of an elite military unit that was established in order to defeat the alien threat.
