Far Cry 3 Description
Far Cry 3 for PC, X360 and PS3 is the third installment of a popular first-person shooters series, which focuses on exploring open worlds and engaging in fights with groups of intelligent opponents. The game, just as the second installment, was developed by Ubisoft Montreal Studios, although this time the studio was aided by the teams from Ubisoft Shanghai, Massive Entertainment, and Ubisoft Reflections.
Story
You take on the role of Jason Brody, whose vacations were brutally interrupted. As a result of an unfortunate parachute jump he lands on an island dominated by a group of psychopathic pirates. What is worse, some of his friends remain in captivity, and all around there are armies of unscrupulous and mentally unstable murderers. To save his close ones and get out of this cursed place Jason has to quickly learn how to kill.
Gameplay
Far Cry 3 for PC, X360 and PS3 is a first person shooter. Most of the time you spend eliminating enemies by any means available. What makes this game different from most of competitive FPS games, is its freedom. Levels are usually open, giving you freedom to choose any tactics. You can either quietly assassinate your opponents or play in Rambo style, i.e. jump into the middle of an enemy camp with a battle cry on your mouth and a rifle in your hands. Another interesting element, is a simple RPG system. The progress in the campaign is rewarded with experience points that can be spent on new skills, grouped into the three paths: The Heron, The Spider, and The Shark. Each of these supports different combat style and makes the exploration of the archipelago somehow easier.
Game modes
An addition to the solo campaign is multiplayer, created by Ubisoft Massive, a Swedish studio known for amazing real-time strategy games (e.g. Ground Control, World in Conflict). The developer opted for easy-to-learn gameplay, scenarios with specific objectives, and an extensive development system. In one of the modes, each team has to set the enemy resources on fire, which can drastically change the situation on the battlefield. Another interesting addition, is a cooperative mini-campaign, where up to four players try to survive 6 linear missions of increasing difficulty.

Far Cry Series
Far Cry is a series of first-person shooters (FPS) with a sandbox gameplay model. The leading theme of the series is spectacular shootouts using modern firearms, but the developers are not afraid to experiment and from time to time serve players a trip to completely different realities, such as distant prehistory (where rifles and flamethrowers are replaced by bows and machetes) or an alternative world in the climate of cyberpunk (where cyborg soldiers fight using laser weapons). The series allows us to drive vehicles, including jeeps or boats with machine guns, and sometimes to ride animals (such as elephants). Starting with the third installment, RPG-like elements, such as crafting and character skill development, began to enter the series. Later installments were also equipped with level editors.
