ARC Raiders is a free-to-play TPP shooter, focusing strongly on players' cooperation in the fight against murderous robots. The game was developed by Embark studio, including many veterans from EA DICE.
ARC Raiders is the work of Embark Studios, founded in 2018 by former members of EA DICE (including Patrick Suderlund, the long-time president of the company), who previously worked on games from the Battlefield and Star Wars: Battlefront series. The game is distinguished by a strong emphasis on "creative" cooperation in the fight against artificial intelligence and other players. It is based on the principles of an extraction shooter (PvPvE).
Setting
The Earth from this game is constantly attacked by killer machines - ARCs - arriving from orbit. Among the ruins of the ancient civilization, the remnants of humanity hide, forming a guerrilla group resisting the soulless invaders. In this post-apocalyptic environment, we join this unequal fight as one of the soldiers of the resistance movement (Raiders).
Gameplay
The gameplay is based on cooperation within a group of players, travelling an open world. We observe the action from a third person perspective. With the help of weapons (including those requiring multiple operators), tools, useful gadgets, and even environmental elements, we must defeat murderous machines - both hordes of smaller robots and bosses (huge "barons" or "queens"). Many useful combat items can be found among the ruins of the ancient world. Sometimes it may also be necessary to collect the equipment from fallen comrades.

F2P ARC Raiders Debuts Next Year
Embark Studio led by Patrick Söderlund, who used to work for EA and DICE, presented ARC Raiders during The Game Awards 2021. The game will debut on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S next year.
