In the game we form a 4-person team made up of well-known Tolkien characters and we take part in subsequent battles with the computer AI or live opponents in the PvP arenas.

A real-time strategy game distributed by using the free-to-play model. The game was developed by DR Studios and it allows the player to lead a civilization through various stages of evolution, since the Stone Age, through antiquity, medieval and renaissance, to the final years of the 19th century. At first the player assumes control of a simple settlement which then expands its size and adds new buildings. Industrial and military buildings provide access to various upgrades, new technologies and military units. The type and availability of units depends on the current era of the nation controlled by the player. The battles with enemy armies are played in an unusual way – the player lacks direct control of his troops and the outcome mostly depends on the number of units on each side of the conflict. Battle Ages offers both single player and multiplayer modes. The story missions are accompanied by a competitive PvP mode that allows the player to attack other civilizations. The rather nice graphics also help in creating a positive image of the game; however, the limitations caused by the F2P distribution model somewhat disturb that image. Various processes require much time to accomplish and they can be accelerated by using microtransactions.

A mobile action MMORPG developed by Allstar Games. Sword of Chaos is a free-to-play game with optional microtransactions. The player assumes the role of a character he created and he is taken to a fantasy world. The action is shown from an isometric perspective and the task given to the player is to explore large locations, speak to NPCs, fight encountered enemies and develop their character. In the real-time battles the player will face various beasts among which there are the mythical centaurs and werewolfs, centurions and goatmen. From time to time the player will face bosses as well. Defeating them requires adapting a specific tactic. The game has a guild system implemented, enabling the players to form larger groups. Fans of competitive play can fight in PvP battles in which up to forty players can participate. Sword of Chaos has cartoonish graphics, the style of which resembles Japanese anime.

We will explore various locations and fight with the encountered enemies, among which powerful bosses stand out. In combat, we will use not only various items (the titular Furious Wings being the most prominent among them), but also powerful combat abilities and spells. Mythical beasts and specially trained animals will also aid us in battle. Legacy of Discord: Furious Wings offer various game modes - PvE (story campaigns and various challenges) is accompanied by PvP modes that will allow us to fight 1 vs. 1 with other players, 5 vs. 5 team matches, and wars between the player-based guilds.

It should be noted that we don’t have to fight alone, as we can ally with other players or get help from NPCs; we can also travel the world using one of the available mounts. Forge of Glory is a multiplayer-focused mobile action RPG developed by the Russian studio Kefir!. Story is not that important in Forge of Glory. The game takes us to a fantasy world where we can face either forces of evil or other players. We observe the action from an isometric point of view. During our adventures we explore more and more locations and fight with the encountered enemies, gradually leveling up our character. In time, we are joined by more powerful heroes and fantastic beasts. We can use their powers and abilities in combat. Combat system in Forge of Glory is based on the match-3 mechanics known from the many logical games. Battles take place on boards filled with crystals. We attack by making chains of at least three gems of the same color We can expand and improve our settlement between the battles and, in time, turn it into a real fortress.

Apart from typical RPG story missions, an essential part of Albion Online are duels between players in PvP mode. The game’s world is split into 800 territories that can be conquered by players’ guilds, seeking valuable resources. Real-time combat uses mechanics typical of hack-and-slash games. While you are offline your territories are protected by a magic aura, so that battles can be fought only between online players. The game features a unique microtransaction system – a commission is drawn from transactions between players.

In the game, the player has to create his own team of robots and engage in turn-based battles. The players get a wide range of Transformers at their disposal, featuring nearly 100 Autobots and Decepticons led by the iconic heroes such as Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, and Bumblebee. The robots exhibit unique abilities and statistics, so one should create his team so that the robots and their skills complement one another. The game heavily emphasizes the tactical aspect, allowing the player to transform their robots into various vehicles, which grants them additional abilities. One can select the elaborate single player story mode as well as the online multiplayer mode. Both experiences are connected in terms of their content.

A miniature wargame, set in the fantasy universe of the popular RPG series by BioWare. The title is based on the free-to-play model with microtransactions and was developed by EA Capital Games. Heroes of Dragon Age allows the players to create their own party that consists of the characters known from all the major installments of the Dragon Age series. In the title, they are represented as digital figurines that are sent to battles against enemy forces just like in a classic tabletop game. The pool of available heroes can be expanded by buying in-game packs. What’s more, characters gain experience with each battle and thus advance to higher levels. Clashes are loosely connected by a campaign in which the player moves between locations and faces various challenges. Apart from a single player mode, the title also offers a multiplayer for two players in various game modes. Heroes of Dragon Age features spectacular three-dimensional graphics.

A mobile real-time strategy game and the first production by Substantial Games. The Ember Conflict is set in a fantasy land, but unlike many similar games, it does not feature a story campaign, focusing entirely on multiplayer battles (one-on-one and two-on-two). The battles are short, up to several minutes long. The controls in The Ember Conflict are gesture-based, and you lead your troops by drawing lines on the screen. You can lead a group of up to six characters, and you choose them from eighteen available types. To make things more interesting, you can modify their equipment. The battles take place on detailed 3D maps, and to win you often have to take the topography into account. It should be noted that soon after the game's release, Substantial Games was dissolved and the game servers have been closed.

Taichi Panda is set in the fantasy world of Azvar, protected by the powerful prophet Vallar and his apprentice Aria. When one day the prophet is kidnapped by the mysterious Dark Prince, the balance between the forces of good and evil is lost. The protagonist's task is to help Aria rescue Vallar and save the realm from the dark forces. You can play as one of the three available characters, each of them having unique special abilities and skill trees. The gameplay focuses on completing quests, which involve exploration and eliminating foes, as well as developing your character. The game features a PvP mode, which allows you to fight against others in teams of three players each.
