Taichi Panda, released on AND and iOS, is a mobile action game with MMORPG elements, maintained in the style of dungeon crawlers. The Chinese studio Snail Games, known in China mainly due to its browser games, is responsible for its creation. The game was originally released in China and on Facebook, but later it was released on mobile devices.
Plot
The action of Taichi Panda is set in the fantastical world of Avzar, watched over by a powerful prophet Vallar and his pupil Aria. Unfortunately, one day the master is kidnapped by the mysterious Dark Prince, and the balance between the forces of good and evil is upset. As you can easily guess, the players' task is to help Aria rescue Vallar and free Avzar from the dark powers.
Despite the quite obvious reference to the popular cartoon Kung-Fu Panda, the production of Snail Games has nothing to do with the work of DreamWorks and the games based on it. Taichi Panda is a mix of action and RPG aimed at older players, in which we can play one of the characters representing three different classes: a warrior, an assassin and a monk. And they are: a master of eastern martial arts - a bear named Pan Da, a heroic knight Lulandore and treasure hunter Lauren Catcher.
Mechanics
The gameplay in Taichi Panda comes down to exploring locations (mainly dungeons) and eliminating enemies such as goblins, bandits and demons. If we encounter problems during a fight, each of the protagonists can also call for the help of the so-called War Pet - an animal that will help us in fights. Each character class in the game has a development tree - as we gain experience, we unlock new useful special abilities and increase the hero's stats, making them stronger and more resistant to enemy attacks. The selection of appropriate equipment, weapons and armor, which we acquire during exploration, is also important.
Game modes
Taichi Panda is distributed in a typical free-to-play model with microtransactions. In addition to the main plot, the game also offers the possibility of multiplayer fun. In PvP arenas, we can compete both in one on one or in teams of 3 on 3 players.
Technical aspects
The game is characterized by high-quality 3D graphic with numerous visual effects.
