Controlled characters collect items and use them in puzzles in order to push the story further. Adventure games usually offer only single player mode and the point-and-click interface. Hiveswap

Hiveswap is an adventure game based on the popular webcomic Homestuck. It was financed though a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, gathering almost 2.5 million dollars. Initially, the game was to be developed by two studios: What Pumpkin, founded by Andrew Hussie, the creator of the original comic, and Odd Gentlemen. The latter, however, abandoned the production to work on the episodic reboot of the King's Quest series together with Activision. Hussie calls Hiveswap an adventure game parody.

While playing, we are taken to the Japan of 1999, and our task is to solve cases of mysterious murders.

Dear Esther: Landmark Edition

A remake of Dear Esther, a popular narrative exploration game from 2012 that started a whole new genre – the so-called walking simulators. It was developed by the independent studio The Chinese Room. Contrary to the base version of the game that was powered by the Source engine and released only on personal computers, this edition is powered by the Unity technology. This enabled the developers to release their game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well.

During the game, we often solve puzzles and conduct conversations with neutral characters in order to shed new light on the case. When it comes to visuals, we are dealing with hand-drawn 2D graphics.
Eventide: Slavic Fable

In CodeRed: Agent Sarah’s Story a player assumes the role of an FBI special agent and runs an investigation aimed at arresting an incredibly dangerous villain, who is planning to detonate a bomb in New York City. Gameplay mechanics combine an interactive story with management elements, logical puzzles, and minigames such as locating hidden objects. The game also delivers some arcade elements like car chases and shootouts.

A first-person adventure game developed for VR goggles. Its prototype has been prepared for the VR Jam contest by the Polish Carbon Studio, established by the former employees of Farm51. Inspired by the famous novel by Lewis Carroll, Alice VR is set in a science-fiction world, where we play as a hero whose ship has been forced to land on an unknown planet.
Fran Bow

Fran Bow is the debut project of the two-people studio Killmonday Games and was funded thanks to a crowdfunding campaign at Indiegogo. In the game, we assume the role of the eponymous Fran who witnesses the brutal murder of her own parents.
