Lost Eden is a first-person adventure game set in a fantastical version of prehistoric times. The game was released, among others, on PC. Lost Eden was developed by Cryo Interactive, known for such hits as Dune, Megarace or Dragon Lore.

Plot

The story of Lost Eden takes us into a fantastical vision of the prehistoric times, when people and intelligent dinosaurs lived together in friendship and peace. However, these times are gone forever - the mutual distrust shared by both species has over time turned into hatred. It was then that a powerful enemy, known as Moorkus Rex, appeared on the horizon, seeking power over the world with his huge army of bloodthirsty Tyrannosaurs. We play as Prince Adam of Mo - the heir to the decadent family of rulers, who must rebuild old alliances and ensure the survival of both people and dinosaurs.

Mechanics

The action in Lost Eden is observedfrom the first person perspective, and the gameplay mechanics can evoke associations with the famous Myst series, in which, like in the production of Cryo Interactive, we travelled through extensive, prerendered locations. Unlike the games from the Myst series, the gameplay in Lost Eden is much less focused on complex environmental puzzles, turning more towards classic adventure game mechanics. The game consists mainly of exploration, conversations with NPCs and collecting objects necessary to solve the puzzles encountered, which pushes the plot forward.

Technical aspects

Lost Eden , released on PC, is one of the first video games to be released exclusively on a CD filled to the brim with prerendered 3D animations, an epic soundtrack and fully sounded dialogues.
