Her Story is a rare example of a FMV adventure game — most of the visuals consists of videos of live-action actors. The plot of Her Story focuses on a British woman named Hannah, whose husband went missing in mysterious circumstances. Based on the recordings of her testimonies from 1994, you have to discover the truth behind those events.

Endless Fables 2: Frozen Path

This time around, an anthropologist by the name of Pamela Cavendish sets off to find her missing friend, who has not come back from the expedition, on which he was researching the sources of a Norse myth about Hodur and Loki. Yet again, the players get to explore diversified locations, collect multiple items, and solve various puzzles.

Hiveswap is an adventure game based on the popular webcomic Homestuck. It was financed though a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, gathering almost 2.5 million dollars. Initially, the game was to be developed by two studios: What Pumpkin, founded by Andrew Hussie, the creator of the original comic, and Odd Gentlemen. The latter, however, abandoned the production to work on the episodic reboot of the King's Quest series together with Activision. Hussie calls Hiveswap an adventure game parody.
