Action games. Wide category of games that require reflex, accuracy and agility. It includes, among other things, shooters (e.g. Call of Duty and Battlefield series) and action-adventure games (Tomb Raider). First and third person perspective (FPP/TPP) is used. In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. Such titles put less emphasis on action and combat, focusing more on story, exploration and puzzles.

Death Stranding

An action adventure game to be available on PlayStation 4 and later on also PC. The title was designed by the industry legend and co-creator of the Metal Gear series, Hideo Kojima. The story of Death Stranding focuses on the evolution of human race and on the “connection” motive which redefines the role of failure and death in videogames. American actor Norman Reedus who is well known for his role in The Walking Dead TV series plays the role of the main protagonist of the title.
Kirby: Planet Robobot

Another installment in the platformer series for Nintendo 3DS. The titular protagonist of Kirby: Planet Robobot is a little pink fellow who has to bring back order to the Dream Land, as it was attacked by mechanical entities causing turmoil that needs to be dealt with. Mechanics are similar to those in the previous installments. The player travels through platform levels, uncovers secrets, and fights enemies – Kirby swallows them, which allows him to gain their special skills.
Jotun: Valhalla Edition

Players are told the story of a Viking warrior named Thora who died an inglorious death. Before she passes through the gates of Valhalla, she needs to prove her worth to the Gods.
Yakuza Kiwami

A complex remake of the first installment in the Yakuza series. The original title debuted on PlayStation 2 in 2005. The game takes place in 1995, eight years after the events shown in Yakuza 0. Kazuma Kiryu, the main protagonist, is a high ranked member of the criminal clan Tojo. He takes the blame for the murder of the patriarch of Dojima family, who was responsible for kidnapping his friend Yumi. After ten years the protagonist is released from prison.
LEGO DC Super-Villains

Another LEGO game that takes place in the DC universe. As the title suggests, in LEGO DC Super-Villains the players assume the role of villains like Joker, Harley Quinn and Lex Luthor. RAGE 2

It also expands the game by two new characters: Greedo and Nien Nunba – both are well known to fans of the original movie trilogy.
Battalion 1944

The maps on which we play are inspired by real battlefields of the Great War, like the streets of Carentan or the forests near Bastogne. We play as an infantry soldier and take part in dynamic, purely arcade battles – though not without a good dose of realism, visible in e.g. faithfully recreated weapons.
Aragami

Serial Cleaner takes place in America of the 1970s and you play as a seemingly ordinary citizen, who's really the eponymous “cleaner,” specializing in cleaning crime scenes—getting rid of the bodies, evidence, and blood.
Master Levels for Doom II

Developed by id Software in collaboration with GT Interactive, this is a set of additional maps for Doom II: Hell on Earth, released in 1994. The pack, entitled Master Levels for Doom II, includes 20 brand new maps (plus one hidden map), prepared under license and supervision of id Software by several independent artists. Due to the specificity of the set, individual levels have not been combined into larger episodes like the parent game, and each of them constitutes a separate whole.

Titan Souls

A two-dimensional retro action platform game inspired by typical cRPGs and the cult PS2 title Shadow of the Colossus. Titan Souls was developed by the independent, three-person studio Acid Nerve and it is an expanded, commercial version of the application created during the Ludum Dare competition. The game takes place in ancient ruins in which, according to a legend, the souls of titans were placed.
Metro: Last Light Redux

A remastered edition of Metro: Last Light, a first-person shooter with survival horror elements, developed primarily with 8th-generation consoles in mind. The action takes place in the grim universe created by Dmitry Glukhovsky, adapted by 4A Games for the purposes of the game. The sequel to Metro 2033 continues the themes of the original game, while the protagonist abandons the subway tunnels to travel to the surface to stop a conflict between the surviving remains of humanity.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!

Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide

The action takes place in and around Ubersreik – an almost completely destroyed city overrun by rat-men species called the Skaven. Players assemble a team of four daredevils with the objective of breaching through subsequent districts and taking them back from enemies.
ARK: Survival Evolved

A sandbox survival simulator set in an open world, which draws inspiration from productions such as DayZ. Unlike in the aforementioned title, this time we fight against powerful prehistoric creature instead of zombies. The game is the debut of an independent studio called Wildcard, founded by a former employee of Microsoft Game Studios. The player begins the game defenseless and naked on an unidentified island, and his or her task is to survive in this new, harsh environment.
