State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition

State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition {PC} is an enhanced edition of third-person action game State of Decay from 2013. Undead Labs created this version, just like the original one. The title was greatly improved, so the players admire graphics utilizing much better lighting, textures and animations. This, however, is not the end of changes: the developers also introduced new weapons, vehicles and a handful of new missions and characters, as well as improved the combat mechanics. On top of that, there is the content of the Breakdown and Lifeline expansion packs. Moreover, Danish composer Jesper Kyd (known for the soundtracks for the Hitman and Assassin’s Creed series) created about extra 30 minutes of music specially for State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition.

Gameplay

The gameplay in State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition PC and XONE is mostly oriented towards survival. The player’s main job is to stay alive in an unhospitable world overrun by zombies. However, you won’t do much alone, so it’s equally important to create a community, to which you will invite other survivors, and then use their unique abilities in a variety of situations, not only combat. You can also give orders to your people and the AI will handle the rest.

During your adventure you take part in a variety of missions – from saving other survivors and searching for food, collecting weapons and ammunition, to expanding your base. Taken the main theme, the Undead Labs game is very brutal. You kill zombies not only with firearms, but also with axes, baseball bats, and many other everyday objects. All this, is set in a big, open world, which you traverse both on foot and by cars.
