How to defeat The Hand boss in Furi?
Last update: 25 July 2016
The Hand will reflect all projectiles through half of the fight, so don’t fire at him when his shield is up. Reflecting the same shot, however, will unlock Ping Pong achievement. Just remember to fire the projectile from a longer distance – this will grant you enough time to reflect it three times.
Phase 1
1. The basic sequence of melee attacks are three, slightly slow strikes.
2. From time to time, the Hand will lift his weapon and shoot a shock wave towards you. Perform a rapid dodge and attack the Hand right away.
3. When the enemy stops in the middle and begins to charge his attack, you should get away from a circle created on the ground.
4. Sometimes the Hand will block your strike with his sword. When that happens, you should follow the instructions from the screen.
Phase 1.5
1. Two slightly delayed melee strikes.
2. One slow blow preceded by a red hologram.
3. When the enemy starts to charge his sword, you should get away from a circle created on the ground.
Phase 2
1. Melee attacks will differ from one another. This can be a single delayed strike or a sequence of two slightly delayed blows and one very delayed blow.
2. The enemy will summon two types of waves. The former in front of it and the latter surrounding it. Use a charged dodge to avoid them and strike right away.
Phase 2.5
1. Two delayed melee attacks.
2. Two strikes preceded by a red hologram.
3. When the opponent strikes his sword into the ground, a round wave will appear right away. You need to dodge it.
Phase 3
1. At the beginning of the stage the enemy will shine yellow and become immune to damage. A few moments later a circle of energy will be created around it, and several waves going clockwise will appear. Avoid them by moving back after each jump. When the wave disappears, attack the boss.
2. The enemy will perform two types of melee attacks: two slightly delayed and one rapid blow or two slightly delayed and one very delayed strike. It’s hard to predict the third attack so stay sharp.
3. The third attack is based on firing narrow shock waves. Move from one side to another to avoid them.
4. The forth attack is based on summoning two very wide waves. Use a charged dodge to avoid them.
Phase 3.5
1. The enemy will perform two delayed strikes and one blow preceded by a red hologram.
2. The second sequence consists of three blows with the red hologram. Dodge them.
Phase 4
This is the easiest phase of the fight. The opponent will throw away his shield, and thus you can fire at him all the time.
1. The only sequence of melee attacks consists of two slightly delayed and one delayed blow.
2. From time to time, the enemy will run to the edge of the arena, lift its sword and fire an energy beam towards you. Use a rapid dodge at the last moment or by moving to the same side once he begins to lower his weapon.
Phase 4.5
1. A sequence of two delayed attacks or two delayed strikes and two preceded by red holograms.
2. Three strikes with red holograms.
Phase 5
The enemy will limit the arena to a small circle in the middle and will perform two types of strikes:
1. Melee attacks: two slightly delayed and one very delayed blow.
2. Reaching one edge of the arena and firing an energy beam towards you.
Phase 5.5
Prepare for a true duel. For the most part, the enemy will be immune to damage, constantly performing slightly delayed attacks. At first they will be rather fast, but then they will become slower. When you block the last strike, the Hand will summon a round shock wave. Dodge it and finish the battle.
