How to defeat The Edge boss in Furi?
Last update: 08 August 2016
The encounter with The Edge is a long fencing duel, in which you will be forced to parry a lot of very different melee attacks. To make the encounter shorter, try to empower your weapon as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, if you receive any damage when your weapon is empowered, it will return to normal - this is why parrying is so crucial here. The easiest method to complete every phase here is to empower your weapon, parry the enemy sequence of attacks and deliver a single deadly attack.
Phase 1
1. Four delayed attacks.
2. Three attacks with holograms.
When the enemy parries your attack, perform two parries as well - one quick and one delayed.
Phase 2
1. One delayed attack.
2. Four delayed attacks.
3. Two attacks preceded by holograms, and then summoning of a round shockwave.
During this phase the enemy will parry most of your attacks, so be prepared to parry his counterattacks (one quick and one delayed). The best tactic is to empower your weapon as soon as you dodge the shockwave and to make use of the additional damage after parrying enemy attacks.
Phase 3
During this phase the enemy will be fighting by using an oar, performing unpredictable attacks. Try to wait for the enemy to glow and launch a shockwave. Dodge the wave and charge your weapon. If you won't get hit after empowering the weapon and you manage to hit the enemy, the phase will quickly end.
Phase 4
The enemy will perform a long series of slightly delayed attacks, ending it with a single more delayed strike. There are less predictable attacks coming from the enemy so carefully observe the white flashes.
When the enemy goes to the edge of the bridge, he will soon start shooting shockwaves at you. Dodge them by blinking to the front and to the back.
When the ground around the boss flashes red, quickly get to the safe part of the bridge.
During this phase you must charge the weapon twice and hit the enemy. The charging should be done after dodging the shockwaves or the red field of energy. Remember - if you let the enemy hit you, the empowerment on your weapon will disappear. Attack the enemy after he finishes the sequence of attacks, or after he launches the last shockwaves. Two powerful strikes will finish the encounter.
