1. When a white flash appears on the enemy weapon it means that the enemy is preparing an attack. Unfortunately, the time needed for the attack to happen after the flash is different during each step of the encounter. Sometimes you must wait half a second to parry an attack, whereas the other time you need to block it almost immediately. To be able to parry enemy attacks perfectly, you need to learn their attack sequences for each stage of the battle.

2. When the enemy starts one of his melee or ranged attacks that cannot be parried, he will often be invulnerable to your attacks. When that happens, you can dodge his attack, or perform a quick block and counterattack if you decided to attack him. It’s best to attack after you dodge the enemy attack. Other times the boss will launch a series of attacks – you will be able to hit him only after the last attack is done.

3. By pressing the attack button repeatedly in a short span of time you will perform a series of attacks, finished with a powerful overhead attack that will stun the enemy. To hit the enemy with all of your attacks you must start your combo as soon as you dodge his attack. If you fail to do so, the enemy will most likely become invulnerable to your attacks before you can perform the stunning attack.

4. Most enemy melee attacks can be dodged, but you should learn to parry. By parrying enemy attacks you will be able to replenish your health. Additionally, if you perform the parry at the perfect time, not only you will heal yourself, but you will perform a special attack that deals significant damage to the enemy.

5. During stages of the battle in which you must keep your distance, don’t forget about shooting the enemy constantly. Not only that you will deal a lot of damage to the enemy, you will also destroy some of the projectiles flying towards you.

6. During the close-up phase of the battle you will be able to charge your attacks by pressing and holding the shoot button. Do this each time the enemy starts shining yellow and becomes invulnerable to your attacks. This happens generally after hitting the enemy with a series of attacks. Charged attacks will shorten every encounter.
