Color codes
This walkthrough has been color coded in the following manner:
- green for items and objects that you can interact with,
- orange character names,
- bold for landmarks on the map,
- bold square brackets [KEY] the default key on the keyboard.
Interaction
You can pick up and examine the majority of items in the game world. All you need to do is come close and press the key for the action ([LMB]). Some of the items, such as the turtle, notes or a bottle of whiskey can be taken along by Henry ([E]). They will then be transferred into his watchtower.
Steering around obstacles
At first, some of the roads may be inaccessible, or blocked off after certain events. Then, what you need to do is find another way around, which is usually not too difficult, and it is always viable. Some of the bushes can be crossed by Henry - you only need to come closer and shove them away ([E]). Fallen tree trunks can also be removed, but only after you find an axe.
Chopping down trees
After you obtain your axe, you can chop down some of the trees. Thanks to this, you reveal new paths and shortcuts. To chop down a tree, you simply need to approach it and interact with it.
Climbing
In some spots, there are sloes that are impossible for Henry to cross. This will change soon, because on day two you find a backpack with quite a supply of ropes. To use them, you simply need to approach a rock and interact with the fragment of rope tied to it. Thanks to this, Herny throws the rope down, which lets you climb ([SPACE BAR]). Ropes remain where you have tied them, thanks to which you can climb back up in the future.
Henry can also climb less majestic obstacles and stone blocks. To find such a spot, pay attention to the color of the rim - if it is white, this means that you can climb onto the obstacle. All of the stone blocs are identical in their looks.
Using the map and the compass
Henry at any point can navigate around the area using the map ([M]) or the compass ([N]). If you do not know where to go, take out the map.
Radio conversations
You can maintain constant contact with Delilah thanks to the walkie-talkie that you have on you. The mechanism of selecting your responses is as follows: when there is a radio icon appearing on the left side of the screen, you will have a certain amount of time to give your answer. To do this, hold down [SHIFT], select your answer and release the key. If you are delaying for too long, Henry gives no response.
Radio reports
During the exploration, you can initiate radio conversations on your own. You can report on the items that you find or the locations that you visit. You report by using the radio in the very same way as in the case of conversations. In case of locations that you visit (or events that have taken place), there will be an icon on the right side of the screen, which informs you of the option to report. You can also report after you roll the mouse over the item - thanks to this, a little radio icon appears next to the name of the item. In a similar way, you can report on the items that you are currently holding in your hands.
Taking photos
On the second day you find a backpack with a supply of ropes and a camera. You can use the camera to take photos ([C]) at any moment. However, you need to remember that the number of shots that you can take is limited. All of the photos will be presented to you along with end credits, after the end of the game.
Wave receiver
After you find a wave receiver, on day 77, you can use it as a compass (you can therefore equip it at any moment with [N]). Using the receiver, you need to find two locations that have been marked on the map in this walkthrough (days 77 and 79). In general, the wave receiver starts to bleep faster when you are approaching a specific spot. Apart from that, pay attention to the LED diodes. The closer you are to the destination point, the more of them light up.
