Team Composition and Training | Manager Career FIFA 17 Guide
Last update: 27 October 2016
Manager Career is definitely the most interesting mode for a single player. Our duties encompass practically everything - from the team compositions, through transfer and youth schools, up to selling t-shirts. Here, we can choose whether we want to begin with a powerful club, and make a real dream team there, or choose a less powerful club, and climb to the top throughout the seasons.
Rotation
Sometimes, the match timetable forces us to play two times a week. There isn't a way for a one squad to have strength to play every three days. Even if they can make it in terms of endurance, your players will be plagued by constant injuries. This is why you need to rotate your team. You need at least two alternatives for each position. Remember that some players can play different positions. If the player on the given position is suspended or injured, use the button "suggested changes". All players that can replace him will be listed.
Formations
When playing as a manager, there is no such factor as chemistry. If some player typically plays the wing, and you would rather use him as a striker, you can place him on such position. Try different variants and formations. This way, you can finally reach the best setting.
The match tactics should be dependent on your opponent's actions. The opponent's tactics are clearly visible. If he makes a lot of passes, use pressing, but if you cannot press him on the enemy's half, counterattack more. Also, remember about switching between offensive and defensive attitudes, depending on the result.
Simulations
Simulations aren't a concrete thing. You should personally play the most important matches of the season. However, if you decide to perform a simulation of the meeting, use the most powerful team when it comes to players' stats. You can even change the formation just so there are more stars in the team.
Training
Young players can quickly develop thanks to practice. While choosing the players for practice, investigate those who have a "promising" label. The trained attributes should be chosen from the suggested ones. It is recommended to train a player in such areas that they lack the most. The range of improvement of each attribute is connected to its amount - it takes much more time to improve already developed areas than those less developed. Never focus all your training units on one player, as it can result in fatigue and injuries.
