Dragging the opponent's players onto your own half

A good positional play starts, first of all, with a sober-minded playing the ball in the defensive line. If you happen to have no options to play the ball towards the opponent's half, try to exchange several passes between your defenders - sooner or later this will draw the opponents' attention, who will become more and more enticed to leave their positions and move towards the goal, which may create a few additional options of playing the ball. Try then, to play a long perpendicular pass to the forwarding opponents or pass the ball to the playmaker, who will be able to extend the attack to wings or towards incoming midfielders.

1-2 Passing

1-2 passing in a small area is one of the best and, at the same time, immensely flashy way to push the action forward and confuse opponents. Playing the bal in a small area requires making quick decisions and, above all, having a good idea about what should follow. Try to exchange short, swift passes between players within a short distance, and this way eliminate defenders, who stop following your actions and just start roaming. After you have exchanged several passes, try to use the available options to play the ball, which often creates an opportunity to launch an interesting attack along the wings.
