Overtaking an opponent
Overtaking an opponent is a hard technique which requires you to foresee the possible variants of the opponent's behavior. It is worth trying to run in front of the opponent and take over the ball during a pass, especially on the opposing half - a gap in defence can be easily filled and does not lead to a dangerous situation. It is also a chance of beginning a fast counter attack and surprising the opponent who cannot reorganize his defence in just a couple of seconds.
Teammate Contain
It is always good to use your teammate's help in making it impossible for an opponent to pass the ball and limiting his options to actually do anything with it. This tactic is especially effective when an opponent is close to a corner - taking over the ball with two players is much more effective and easier then. In order to use your teammate's help, press and hold the contain button.
Blocking a shot in the penalty area
Blocking a shot in the penalty area with a sliding tackle is exceptionally difficult and very risky - carelessly sliding into opponent's keg within the penalty zone automatically ends with a penalty shot, so the only way to succeed in that, is performing a completely clean tackle. Timing is essential here, as you have to slide exactly when the opponent is preparing to make a shot - you have to somewhat predict when your opponent is going to do that.
