Breakout | Far Cry New Dawn Walkthrough Far Cry New Dawn Guide and Walkthrough
Last update: 25 February 2019
This page describes the walkthrough for Breakout mission in Far Cry: New Dawn. In the mission you will release a specialist named Thomas Rush - this is a character required to improve your homebase. You can start the quest in Prosperity, as soon as you have completed the Find Hope task.
Would you like to know more about specialists and improving the base? Visit the "Homebase Upgrades" section in our guide.
How to find Rush?
An expedition to save Thomasa Rush requires going to quite distant areas of the map. A mission marker will show you the exact route, but you have to decide how you want to get to the location where Rush is staying. After you leave Prosperity, you will see a quad - the easiest way to get to the location is to use this vehicle.
There are a lot of opponents in the location, but Carmina Rye will be with you - this is the so-called mercenary for hire, who will help you in the fight. Initially, it's a good idea to quietly approach the location and find out where the enemies stand. Several of them can be killed by takedowns and only then proceed to an open fight.
Carmina Rye is one of supporting characters for hire. If you want to get all of them, see the "Supporting Characters" page in our guide.
After killing all enemies in the location, you must find the key to open the entrance to the inner part of the complex. The key is located behind a large hangar. Take it and follow the mission marker to the door.
Inside you will find more enemies. One of them is more demanding than the others (there is a blue icon on his health bar) - aim at his head to deal the most damage. Then follow the available path - you'll quickly find Thomas Rush.
Escape to Prosperity
After the meeting with Thomas Rush, you will run away together to Prosperity. At first you will take control of the rifle on the vehicle. Enemies will chase you, so you have to eliminate them. The rifle has a powerful range and destruction power, so you can easily get rid of enemy vehicles. Remember that the rifle may overheat and then you won't be able to shoot for a few seconds - watch the bar over the health bar and try to prevent the rifle from overheating.
In the final stage of the mission you will have control over the vehicle. Now your enemies won't chase you anymore, so you can easily head towards the mission marker. On arrival, the Breakout mission will be successful.
Upon completion of the mission, you will be given a permanent access to the vehicle called a Makeshift Sidecar.
