Cyberpunk 2077

Developer: CD Projekt RED

Year of release: 2020

Estimated number of copies sold: 20 million

Oh no, the evil, bugged Cyberpunk here? That's right. The numbers don't lie. Despite all the hassle and mistakes the publisher made, Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the most anticipated games of 2010s and sold great. The success didn't seem to be overshadowed by the controversial refund policy of the game in the PS store. And while not everyone can play it as comfortably as they'd wish, it's also true that players with rather modest PCs are able to enjoy the full benefits of the game, save for some graphical bells and whistles. And the benefits include, as usual, mainly the great narrative, memorable characters, solid missions and side quests.

CP 2077 is also a long-time investment: the game is not only sufficient for more than 100 hours full of choices, and is still bound to grow in the future, receiving a major expansion. The game is also quite prone to modding, and has already been discounted. It's safe to assume, then, that Cyberpunk 2077 just got started, and that the sales figures will steadily grow in the coming years.
