Tunic was somewhat of an under-the-radar title, but it definitely shines, making players either hate or love it. Why is that? It may seem that the game is rather easy while you're still in the initial hours, but further contact may be infuriating. This is because the specific rules of the game... remain hidden from players. In Tunic, we have a lot of these logic challenges, and the solutions for them are found by locating special instructions that contain explanations for the puzzles prepared by the authors (or tips facilitating them).
Moreover, from these tips, you learn how to upgrade the fox hero skills and how to solve more difficult puzzles. All this to find modifiers, secrets, passages, and more hidden from the player. They come especially useful during combat with lesser enemies and bosses. When it comes to combat itself, especially against bosses, there are some Dark Souls vibes, but Tunic turns your brain into mush instead of causing soreness from the rhythmical pressing of the dodge button. This paints an unusual picture, especially with the game's cute visuals.
