One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows

  1. Release Date: February 2020
  2. Genre: arena brawler
  3. Platforms: Switch, AND, iOS

Spike Chunsoft cannot be denied consistency. After developing one of the worst games of 2019, the arena brawler calledJump Force, the team rolled up their sleeves to... present the world with one of the worst games of 2020, the arena brawler called One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. This time, however, the license has changed – instead of an "epic" crossover of several popular animé series, the whole thing was based on a single popular series of Japanese animations dedicated to Saitama, the hero who can defeat any opponent with a single blow.

It was this special feature of the main hero that became the cause of criticism – the developers took it into account in the game and prepared a special combat mechanic, but it turned out to be poorly balanced and completely killed any fairness of the clashes over the network. As in the case of Jump Force, the trivial combat system was also problematic, as it quickly became boring, as did the uninspired visuals (which still look much better than the grotesque pseudo-realism of the previous production).
