Crusader Kings III is a game that our list couldn't miss. The next installment of the cycle, allowing to create and lead one's own medieval empire, turned out to be a real gem, rapidly gaining a large group of devoted fans. This time, the action of the game is set between 9th and 11th century – we choose when we want to start the game ourselves, and thanks to a lot of randomness, the game looks a little different almost every time.
The list of improvements with respect to part two is really long. We have here, among others, a much larger map (spans the whole of Europe, as well as the Middle East, the Indian Peninsula, Central Asia and a large part of Africa) and a completely new development mechanics – technology has been replaced by culture, in which we introduce various types of innovations (including military ones).
It is worth noting that although apparently Crusader Kings III is a classic RTS of an exceptionally large scope, it's also very heavy on RPG elements. These make it more like an advanced simulator of a medieval nobleman. However, this doesn't change the fact that fans of strategy games will certainly not be disappointed with this game.
