Another classic series returning in 2020 – this time, Total War by the Creative Assembly. This similarly isn't full-blown entry in the series, but another game that belongs to the Saga sub-series, which features productions focused not on specific historical periods, but on particular historical events. In the case of Troy, the topic is of course the Trojan War.
In terms of gameplay, this is the title that best summarizes the statement "more of the same thing, but better," although there are also some interesting changes, such as a completely new system of raw materials. In visual terms, the ancient Greece has been rendered in detail and with a distinctly artistic flair. The creators have approached various mythical references in an original way – for example, the Minotaur is simply a mighty warrior dressed as a bull, while storms are referred to as the "wrath of Zeus."
The release of this game was also interesting. The creators decided to make an unusual move and on the first day, they gave their work to players for free on the Epic Games Store. More than 7.5 million people have taken advantage of this offer, so there's a good chance that you too already have this game in your library. If you haven't tried it yet, it will be perfect for a few long winter evenings.
