We continuea the streak of more unusual games with the universe of 1920+, created by the Polish artist Jakub Rozalski. This is an alternative, steam/diesel-punk version of the 20th century, in which steam-powered mechs appear on the battlefields of World War I. The conflict turned out somewhat different that we're taught on history lessons, and Europe was in fact divided between three powers: the Empire of Saxony, the Republic of Polania, and Rusviet.
The game in question is of course Iron Harvest, created by the German KING Art Games. In terms of gameplay mechanics, this title game clear references to such classics as Company of Heroes or Men of War. This is because, among other things, we lead entire troops, not individual soldiers; furthermore, during the fights, it's crucial to take the right positions and emphasis is placed on the tactical layer rather than base management and getting raw materials. Of course, the difference is that in Iron Harvest, there are a lot of bizarre walking machines on the battlefield.
It is certainly not a perfect game, but the charming climate and cool campaign allows you to easily forget some gameplay shortcomings.
