Midnight Fight Express is the work of a single man – Polish developer Jakub Dzwinel. This makes us really appreciate the level of quality of this beat 'em up. It's not only a walking brawler, as the game also features a lot of shooting. On top of that, we've got high interactivity with the environment, which also allows performing brutal finishers. We can also use various gadgets in combat – e.g. a rope, used to quickly close in on enemies.
Thanks to all these elements, the whole thing looks very impressive, and the gameplay turns out to be highly satisfying. Especially if you value games that focus on reflexes and dexterity. These qualities are invaluable in avoiding incoming blows and blocking at the right moment. The rating system makes the player eager to get better results, which alone promotes replayability. John Wick has yet to see his official AAA game (as he should, which thankfully is also the position of the the it's director), but if you love those movies, Midnight Fight Express might give you the thrill you're looking for. At least partially.
