Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II
Once again, the makers of Call of Duty are taking us on an adventure that could have been directed by Michael Bay. We reviewed the single-player and multiplayer modes.
The main pros of the game
- Campaign Quality: Many reviews praise the campaign as one of the best in the series, with a captivating storyline and engaging gameplay. It offers a mix of stealth and action, with various mission types.
- Zombies Mode: The Zombies mode is frequently highlighted as a strong point, with challenging gameplay and enjoyable mechanics reminiscent of earlier titles in the franchise.
- Multiplayer Experience: Some players appreciate the fast-paced multiplayer action, the introduction of new movement mechanics (like omni-movement), and the gunplay, which many find satisfying.
- Graphics and Sound: The graphics and sound design receive positive mentions, with some noting that they enhance the overall gaming experience.
The main cons of the game
- Technical Issues: A significant number of reviews mention frequent crashes, DirectX errors, and server connectivity problems that hinder gameplay. Many players report spending more time troubleshooting than actually playing.
- Aim Assist and Controller Advantage: There are complaints about the aim assist for controller players, which many PC players feel gives an unfair advantage in crossplay situations.
- Skill-Based Matchmaking (SBMM): Players express frustration with the SBMM system, finding it overly strict and leading to unbalanced matches, especially when playing casually.
- Map Design and Spawns: Many reviews criticize the map design, stating that they are poorly laid out, leading to frustrating spawn situations and gameplay experiences.
The features or elements that are missing from the game according to users
- Offline Play: Several reviews express disappointment that the game requires an online connection even for single-player modes, which feels unnecessary and frustrating for some players.
- Customization and Weapon Modifications: Some users mention issues with weapon customization, including bugs where changes do not save or apply correctly.
- Crossplay Options: There are calls for the ability to disable crossplay with console players, as many PC users feel at a disadvantage against controller players.
- Innovative Gameplay Elements: Longtime fans express a desire for more innovation and creativity in gameplay, feeling that the game is a rehash of previous titles without significant advancements.
Summary
- Overall, while "Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6" has its strengths, particularly in campaign and Zombies mode, it faces criticism regarding technical performance, balance issues, and a perceived lack of innovation.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Description
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is an FPS that is a direct sequel to 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Both productions were developed by Infinity Ward studio, the team that started the whole brand with the first CoD, released in 2003.
Plot
The action begins shortly after the events of CoD: MW. The plot again focuses on the activities of the special group Task Force 141. This time the soldiers have to face a mysterious military organization, whose tentacles go deeper than anyone could have guessed.
During the campaign in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the player completes missions around the world, including Europe, Asia and the Americas. The story is divided into 16 missions, and it sees the return of well-known characters like Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, Simon "Ghost" Riley and John "Soap" MacTavish. A new member of the team is Colonel Alejandro Vargas of the Mexican special forces.
Game mechanics
Modern Warfare 2 is built on the foundations of its 2019 predecessor. So we get a classic first-person shooter with a first-person view. In the campaign we take part in a variety of missions, densely packed with interactive sequences straight out of action movies. Most of them require aggressive tactics and quick neutralization of enemies, but there are also stealth sections that add variety to the game.
Compared to the previous installment, the AI has also been heavily improved so that it is not only more effective, but also uses tactics used by soldiers in the real world.
In online gameplay, on the other hand, the developers have prepared a number of improvements. The third-person perspective has been improved. The detection of the enemy has also been changed, with adjustments in the visibility of the enemy and the volume of his footsteps.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 focuses heavily on movement dynamics. Players can perform, among other things, sliding on the floor and climbing on certain objects.
Game modes
The game offers a single-player story campaign and multiplayer gameplay. Multiplayer allows you to play PvP skirmishes against other players or cooperate with them in Special Ops co-op mode, in which three people perform special missions together. In addition, the developers have prepared a new mode - Invasion Mode.
PvP combat has undergone quite a metamorphosis since the previous installment. New gameplay variants have been added, and the mechanics of weapon upgrades have been thoroughly revamped, so it offers many more options for modifying weapons. Of course, all models will be unlocked during gameplay - just advance to the next levels. However, the balance between different weapon models has been improved.
Technical aspects
The game is built on a heavily upgraded version of the engine developed for 2019's CoD: Modern Warfare. The level of detail has been raised, nicer effects have been implemented and a new RICOCHET anti-cheat system has been introduced. The production was developed to integrate with Call of Duty: Warzone 2, facilitated by the fact that both productions use the same engine.
