Lara Croft Returns But Not as We Expected
Before we get the next installment of the Tomb Raider series, Lara Croft will make her way to Call of Duty. The iconic adventurer will be available as one of the Operators in Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0.
In the first half of last year, we received confirmation that Crystal Dynamics is working on a new Tomb Raider game. The publisher of the as yet unannounced title is, in turn, Amazon Games, which has very ambitious plans for the development of the series not only in terms of games, but also live-action productions. And while this information may be encouraging, we still have to wait a little longer for the first results of the cooperation between the two companies.
As a consolation, Lara Croft fans will soon get the opportunity to play as the heroine in... Call of Duty. The brave archaeologist will be added to the growing collection of optional Operators in Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0. Activision has released the first look at what the adventurer will present herself in the games.
You have to admit that the classic image of the heroine in a new, extremely realistic edition makes a really great impression. Taking into account the comments of fans under the post, one gets the impression that many of them would like Lara Croft to look just like this in her solo game.
Lara Croft will be featured in Call of Duty on September 9 as part of the Tracer Pack: Tomb Raider. It will include not only the character itself, but also three weapon blueprints and a vehicle skin. In addition, the set will be completed by a loading screen, sticker and emblem.
As already mentioned, the new Operators in CoD are popping up like mushrooms after the rain. Recently, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop music, Activision, along with the fifth season added Snoop Dog, 21 Savage and Nicki Minaj to MWII and Warzone 2.0. Lara Croft thus joins a truly honorable group.
