Strafe is not just a standard clone of Quake, Doom or any other 90's shooter. Even if the game takes a lot from them, features certain themes, sports a lot of easter eggs (e.g. a secret level modeled after Wolf 3D or a wrench – the first weapon from System Shock), it is primarily a roguelike. That means huge potential in terms of replayability, as levels are randomly generated to some extent, and you're only left with one life.
When it comes to plot, we assume the role of a scrapper who lands onboard a ship lost somewhere in interstellar space. As you can guess, things are not going well and we are forced to fight for survival during a very dynamic and hardcore gameplay. In addition to constant shooting, the game also features exploration and limited crafting and trade. On the technical side, Strafe is a bit of a wolf in sheep's clothing. The game looks like a 90's title, but the hardware requirements are quite serious - remember to check them before playing.
