Project Warlock. New shooters that embody the spirit of the 90s

Table of Contents

  1. Release date: 2018
  2. Producer: Buckshot Software
  3. Platforms: PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One

Another Polish title. Thanks to Jakub Cislo's stubbornness and passion, Exitium 3D – a very primitive Wolfenstein 3D clone made by one person – has evolved into a good shooter created by a small team of Buckshot Software. Project Warlock was inspired by titles such as Blood, Hexen and Doom. The game features over 60 levels and several weapons which can be further modified.

The characteristic low ceilings make the game resemble Ultima Underworld or Space Hulk, but there are moments where we visit outdoors. Along the way, our hero develops new abilities. The whole thing has a pretty specific color palette, and the ubiquitous pixels add a bit of an 8-bit vibe to the bloodbath inspired by the FPS of the 90's.
