Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is one of the first games that comes to mind when talking about multiplayer shooters. Originally a modification to Half-Life, it became a wildly popular online game that has set the standard for many years. And it was all largely still in the same formula. Well, you don't mend something that's not broken (which the game's developers confirm with subsequent patches).
This map has largely stayed true to the original Counter-Strike formula. Although Dust (the prototype for the current version) is no longer available, the new version largely corresponds to it. Therefore, it also evokes a number of memories – both good and otherwise, because games with other people can be wild. To this day, it's one of the most popular maps of the entire genre.
And, in principle, it shouldn't come as a surprise. This is one of the few maps where the balance has been very well conceived – without favoring either side. It's achieved with the very structure of the map, as well as the location of key points on it. It's also a great area to learn the rules of the game, so probably many will start with it.
