- Release date: 2021
- Platform: PC
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is another production by Owlcat Games, also responsible for the previous installment in the series based on Dungeons & Dragons, the The Kingmaker. This time, we're not getting a direct sequel. The player, leading a group of heroes, will traverse the planet Golarion, and the story background will boil down to a classic fight between good and evil (humans and angels vs. demons).
A MESSAGE FROM DEVELOPERS
We stick to the roots of CRPGs, providing our players with a wide variety of choices, each of them affecting the story in a meaningful way.
This new epic adventure is a logical step further in everything we have achieved with our previous game, Pathfinder: Kingmaker, this time with the conflict of a bigger scale, extended mechanics and improved visuals, and a more mature, darker storyline. The Alpha version is already available through the studio official website, featuring the prologue and the first three chapters.
Alexander Mishulin, Creative Director, Owlcat Games
The new Pathfinder will be another RPG that uses isometric perspective, and battles are fought in a turn-based system with active pause. During the course of the game we'll learn the fates of various independent characters, and focus on the development of our characters through experience points and expanding arsenal. Kingdom management, known from the previous installment, was also expanded. A novelty in Wrath of the Righteous is the mythological progression system through which players gain access to powerful abilities that greatly influence the course of the story.
WHO SHOULD PLAY IT?
Fans of classic RPGs.
