19. Generator Room | Campaign Duke Nukem Forever Guide

Right after getting out of the elevator, turn left and approach the double door but don't yet go through it. Opposite to them there's a sink and an answering machine with a recorded message.

After listening to the message, go to the other side of the generator room, where the general and his men are waiting for you. Beside there's also a room behind a fence, with some supplies inside.

After the general's motivation speech, head to the other side of the "infected" generator room and go up the ladder to the control panel of the crane, from which two pipes are hanging. Place the pipes so that you can cross them to the turbines. Throughout the whole hall you will have to avoid bolts of electricity which isn't too hard with some patience and timing.

Use the tentacles and ladders to get to the gantry cabin and onto the platform. Luckily its operator is alive and will give you a ride. The trip will be long and slow, but definitely not boring as flying enemies will be attacking you from every side and at the end you will once again have to face the Octaking. This time you will have the chance to finish what you started the last time.

On the gantry platform you will find the Devastator with an unlimited amount of ammo, so you don't have to worry about running out of rockets during the right. Avoid the energy attacks and the flying items by hiding behind obstacles and constantly moving.

Octaking won't surrender even after losing the fight and will start pulling in the gantry platform. A full Devastator clip should change his mind.

After the fight you will have to go down off the platform and enter the elevator room. The elevator unfortunately is out of order, so you will have to jump into the flooded shaft.
