  • Air Flow Meter - repair ca. 180 USD, new part 450 USD

Your customer has tried to tune the engine on his own and his toying ended badly - an unendurable noise comes from the car and the engine do not want to start. Your task is to repair all broken parts. Perform the electronics test with the OBD Link option and turn on the Show parts conditions mode. Results of tests are very unpleasant - following parts qualifies for change:

  • Timing Belt V6
  • Serpentine Belt V6
  • Belt Tensioner
  • Idler Pulley
  • 6x Spark Plug
  • 2x Ignition Module
  • Air Flow Meter

Purchase (or repair if we are talking about air flow meter) all necessary parts and replace:

Timing belt, serpentine belt, belt tensioner, idler pulley:

  • Go to the Engine - inspect view mode when the car stands on the ground.
  • Remove Serpentine Belt V6.
  • Remove Belt Tensioner.
  • Remove Timing Belt V6.
  • Remove Idler Pulley and assemble a new one.
  • Assemble new Timing Belt V6.
  • Assemble new Belt Tensioner.
  • Assemble new Serpentine Belt V6.

Spark plugs, ignition module:

  1. Remove Plastic Engine Cover V6.
  2. Unplug Ignition Wires V6 Front and Ignition Wires V6 Rear.
  3. Twist off front and rear Ignition Modules and replace them with new parts.
  4. Twist off all six Spark Plugs and replace them with new parts.
  5. Assemble Ignition Wires V6 Front and Ignition Wires V6 Rear.
  6. Assemble Plastic Engine Cover V6.

You need to remove the engine cover in order to reach the flow meter.

Air flow meter:

  1. Remove Plastic Engine Cover V6.
  2. Remove Air Flow Tube V6.
  3. Remove Air Flow Meter and assemble a new one.
  4. Assemble Air Flow Tube V6.
  5. Assemble Plastic Engine Cover V6.

The last step is to increase car's power by at least 20% - in that order perform the chip tuning. Go to the proper room with the Roller Dyno - tune car option and start the tuning application - Program Eeprom.
